Amber, brown and cream diamonds on handwoven silk velvet. Rich without being heavy, and a natural match for camel, cream and denim.

Why ikat edges are never sharp

The yarn is bound and dyed before it goes near the loom, then aligned thread by thread as the cloth is woven. Absolute precision is not possible by hand, and the gentle blur where colours meet is the signature of the technique rather than a defect.

The diamond, or baklava

The diamond lattice is one of the founding structures of Turkish weaving, used to organise a field of cloth and associated with abundance and protection in Anatolian tradition.
