Suzani Fish Pillow Cover | Colorful 20x20

A colorful fish pillow cover in mosaic roundels

A fish built from dozens of concentric-circle roundels — red, blue, yellow, green — hand-embroidered on a cream ground. A brighter, more graphic take on the fish than its tan sibling, closer to a stained-glass mosaic.

Roundel embroidery

Each roundel is stitched as its own small target of colour, and the fish takes shape only when they are massed together. It is a more playful, modern-feeling piece than the traditional floral covers — the technique is old, the effect is not.

Styling it

The cream ground lets the colour do the work, so this sits happily in a light, neutral room. A cheerful accent for a child’s room, a window seat or a reading corner.
