Rounded rosette medallions in blue, green and turquoise, hand-embroidered in an even grid across a deep burgundy-red ground. The Sultana is the richest, most saturated cover in the collection.

The rosette grid

Each medallion is a small sun-rosette, a protective motif in suzani work, and setting them in a regular grid rather than a scatter is what gives this piece its formal, almost tiled rhythm — a lot of colour held in a very orderly frame.

Styling it

A statement cover. It needs a calm setting — a neutral or dark sofa — where the burgundy can be the loudest thing in the room. Pair it with the Sultan if you want warmth without a second pattern competing.
