Suzani Crown Lumbar Pillow Cover | Blue & Gold 16x24

A gold suzani lumbar pillow cover on blue

A large gold-and-pink crown palmette sits inside a gold lattice on a mid-blue ground, hand-embroidered across a 16" × 24" lumbar. The most architectural of the lumbars — a single grand motif rather than a repeat.

The crown palmette

The crowned palmette is a court motif, which is where the cover gets its name. Framing it in a lattice, rather than repeating it, gives the piece a formal, almost heraldic presence.

Styling it

Blue and gold is a rich, slightly regal pairing that suits a more formal room. It holds its own on a dark sofa and dresses up a bed without needing a second pattern beside it.
